A Message from Mike
We are thrilled to welcome John Kiely to the team as our Account Executive. John brings decades of woodworking, product development, construction, and Social Emotional Learning experience to the team. Plus, he has three pot bellied pigs on his New Jersey farm. Are you applying for PACE grants?
If so, please include Pre-Apprenticeship programs from the United Brotherhood of Carpenters. This program can be used in school or out of school. It spans three years of high school oriented curriculum and training which deliver 16 college credits as well as meaningful exposure to the union and a leg up when looking for work or formal apprenticeships.

Drumroll please! Congratulations to… Phifer Middle School in the Pennsauken Township School District!
Phifer Middle School added Maplewoodshop to their extensive CTE offerings as they work to expose students to as many careers as possible. With Mr. Tuch and Mr. Akkari leading the charge, their woodworking program has really taken off. We are excited to announce that they will be participating in our Wind Energy Curriculum pilot!

More Students Choosing Technical Training Over College
In a shifting educational landscape, more students are recognizing the value of technical training as a viable route to a successful career. According to the National Student Clearinghouse, undergraduate enrollment in four-year colleges has declined almost 0.5% Fall 2021-Fall 2023. In the same period, enrollment in all certificate programs grew over 13%, with construction trades program enrollment increasing by 15.5%.
